Hello, I'm Sabrina A. Davis. I have been working to promote healthy, natural hair since 2003. I'm an "R" Certified Sisterlocks® Consultant; Sisterlocks® Certified Trainers Assistant (CTA) and Florida Licensed Cosmetologist who specializes in Natural Hair Care and Loc's.
My desire to venture into the natural hair care profession was spurred by hearing the frustration of clients having problems with chemically-treated hair. My initial step was to learn the art of Locs and Loc extension, a popular solution for those looking for a natural hair alternative. I discovered the unique beauty and versatility of the Sisterlocks® system, as I sought the tutelage of Sisterlocks® founder, Dr. JoAnne Cornwell.
This journey started way back when I was just a single mother trying to feed my two boys as a Florida state-licensed nail technician with some banking financial experience. With these skills under my belt, I was hired part-time as a receptionist for a small hair salon and barber shop in the Kissimmee, Florida area. To secure extra income, I started a small business called Pinkey's Nails. As I gained the trust of the owners of the hair salon I moved up to floor manager where I began to restructure the standard operating procedures of the salon. Other duties entailed ordering, assigning job tasks, and appointments, managing the funds/payroll, and so on.
I was rewarded for such dedication to be able to acquire a small space and position by appointment, only to work my own nail business within their salon business. Ultimately I began to run the owners’ salon, the more hours more money right?. If I was going to work this hard then I needed to reap some of the benefits of my efforts.
The more I worked the more I dreamt of having my own salon, my own stand-alone business. Running someone else’s business for several years was good tutorship which led to me producing an established Pinkey's Natural Hair Care System. I chose the natural hair care industry to excel in. Becoming a household name in the natural hair care industry as I specialized in the industry-changing theory of “Locology”.
I'm so proud to have my work showcased in local, and nationally syndicated hairstyles magazines, such as Sophisticate's BLACK HAIR Styles And Hair Guide, Hotlanta Magazine Group, and Sisterlocks Lifestyle Journal. One of the most important things for me is having every customer leave my salon, feeling and looking their absolute best. I take great time and care, to maintain a modern, yet warm hair care experience. I have a commercial natural hair studio located in the prestigious Dr. Phillips Orlando, Florida.
